Briefly about the knife

The WITCH tactical karambit draws inspiration from classic designs, featuring a handle specifically adapted for the European grip. Blade Brothers Knives designed this knife for self-defense in critical situations, where it can inflict significant damage. The WITCH is constructed from 5mm thick 1.4116 stainless steel, hardened to 57 HRC. It features textured ABS plastic handle scales. The knife comes with a plastic sheath equipped with a MOLLE -compatible steel clip. The sheath also includes eyelets compatible with TEK LOK.

Key Features of the WITCH Tactical Karambit by Blade Brothers Knives

The WITCH tactical karambit we designed for close-quarters combat (CQC). So it serves as an effective self-defense tool in case of a sudden attack. The knife's design allows for use in confined spaces or in situations requiring release from a grab or hold. It is important to note that the WITCH karambit is highly specific weapon, and its effective use requires specific skills.

Grip Adaptability
The knife is comfortable to hold using both forward (straight) and reverse grips. The karambit is effective within any system of hand-to-hand combat, and when held in a reverse grip, it perfectly aligns with the trajectory of straight and sideways strikes.
Sickle-Shaped Blade
Its primary purpose is to inflict deep, ripping cuts with maximum efficiency. The sharp cutting edge ensures destructive power during heavy slicing. The curved geometry increases the length of contact, which amplifies the effect in both forward and reverse grips.
Stabbing Capabilities
Despite the curved shape, the knife is capable of a precise and controlled thrust—a vital function for close combat.
Limited Utility Functionality
The WITCH is a self-defense tool and is less suited for general utility tasks. However, it is still capable of slicing food or peeling fruit if necessary.
Distinctive Karambit Handle
The handle is adapted for the European hand. The oversized ring provides a "dead grip", making it practically impossible to disarm the user. The enlarged outer part of the ring can be used as a glass breaker or a striking element against the opponent.
Textured ABS Plastic Scales
These scales ensure a reliable hold, even with wet hands. They are secured with screws that can be tightened independently if necessary.
Reliable Sheath
The ABS plastic sheath securely fixes the knife. The removable steel clip is MOLLE-compatible, and the eyelets are compatible with TEK LOK. This guarantees convenient carry and rapid deployment of the knife.

History of the Karambit

The WITCH tactical karambit is an original interpretation of the traditional Malay knife. This knife has a centuries-old history of use in the Malay Archipelago. The name of the blade's shape, "karambit," translates to "tiger claw" due to the handle and blade's resemblance to the claws of this predator.

There are several theories about the origin of the karambit. One theory suggests that the "claw knife" or "tiger claw knife" emerged to compensate for the lack of such a powerful tool in ancient times. This tool also formed the basis of a distinctive fighting style. Over time, the claw knife became emblematic of Indonesian martial arts.

Another theory suggests that the karambit knife originated from the rice sickle, an agricultural tool. Metal was a valuable resource in ancient times, and sickles tended to wear out from frequent sharpening. Therefore, it was common practice during that era to produce knives from remnants and fragments of agricultural tools.

Full tang fixed blade knife
The all-metal construction of the knife with a fixed blade ensures strength, reliability, and power. The knife is made of 5 mm thick stainless steel of grade 1.4116, which is known for its toughness and corrosion resistance. The blade is also hardened to a 57 HRC, which makes it incredibly sharp and able to hold its edge for a long time.
Adaptive grip
The knife can be held in a forward or reverse grip and used to deliver effective strikes using any system of hand-to-hand combat. The karambit, held in a reverse grip, fits perfectly into the trajectory of both straight and side strikes.
Sickle-shaped cutting edge
The main purpose of the tactical karambit is to inflict maximum damage on the enemy with deep slashing cuts. The razor-sharp lower cutting edge in the shape of a sickle is effective for power cuts. The curvature of the blade increases the actual length of the cutting edge and when struck with a forward grip, it inflicts enormous damage, leaving a wide and deep wound. When held in a reverse grip, the knife easily penetrates the material, leaving a narrow but deep wound.
According to the laws of Ukraine, the knife has only one cutting edge.

The knife is inconvenient for performing household tasks in the kitchen, its main purpose is to be a self-defense tool. However, it is still capable of cutting food or peeling fruits and vegetables.
Characteristic karambit handle
The Blade Brothers Knives karambit handle is adapted for the European hand. The handle with a ring allows you to fix the knife almost with a dead grip, knocking it out of your hand is an almost impossible task.
The ring on the handle of the WITCH knife is enlarged so that the karambit is more comfortable to use in hand-to-hand knife fighting. The ring on the handle has an external extended part, which can be used in an emergency as a glass breaker and more 😉
Textured ABS plastic scales prevent slipping, the knife is comfortable to use with wet hands. The scales are attached with screws that can be tightened as needed.
Reliable sheath
To ensure the safety of carrying and convenience, the knife comes with an ABS plastic sheath that securely holds and retains the knife. The removable steel clip, compatible with MOLLE, allows you to carry the knife in a comfortable position and quickly remove it when needed. The holes in the sheath are compatible with TEK LOK.
