The NESSMUK Stonewash is a modern tactical interpretation of a classic bushcraft knife designed by Sears. Blade Brothers Knives masters redesigned fixed blade outdoor survival knife specifically for the military. Also we keep in mind everyone who rely on a knife daily in demanding conditions.

Our NESSMUK knife model combines combat functionality, survival versatility, and the load resistance that users always expect from Blade Brothers Knives.

We use 1.4116 stainless steel (57 HRC) — durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy to sharpen — to make the NESSMUK Stonewash tactical handcrafted knife. With a spine thickness of 5 mm, it easily withstands batoning, heavy blows, and chopping wood.

The full tang fixed blade ensures uncompromising reliability. All Blade Brothers Knives are fixed blades. We believe that a fixed blade is the best solution for a work knife. Fixed blade knife has no complex mechanisms, no play, and doesn't get clogged with dirt. When you need to act instantly, a fixed blade is your best choice. As a result you can draw it from the sheath in one motion. This is critically important in a conflict or any other extreme pressure situation.

An additional grind on the spine transforms the classic Nessmuk knife into an effective tactical weapon with a sharp combat point, capable of piercing dense materials.

Wide concave grinds ensure an aggressive cut even with minimal effort. Moreover, the cutting edge, which extends beyond the handle's line, concentrates all the force of the strike in one point. Thus, it enhances knife's cutting properties significantly. In this modification, we preserved the spirit of the original Sears bushcraft knife Nessmuk but gave it the tactical functionality that modern warfare demands.

The Stonewash finish adds a brutal look to the knife, making the surface less vulnerable to scratches and hiding signs of intensive use. This coating also minimizes glare, which is critical in certain conditions. The knife does not require special care. Indeed it is enough to clean it from dirt and simply wipe it dry. The materials are chosen so you can focus on the job, not on maintenance.

The Convenience of the Nessmuk Stonewash knife

At Blade Brothers Knives, we modified the Nessmuk Stonewash handle, making it larger compared to the Sears knife. We literally designed it for heavy-duty work. Its special shape reliably stops the movement of the palm, preventing it from slipping onto the blade even during powerful stabs. The textured ABS plastic scales ensure a firm grip that won't fail even with gloves.

For additional fixation or quick knife extraction, there is a lanyard hole at the end of the handle.

The knife comes with a reliable nylon sheath compatible with the MOLLE system. It allows you to carry your knife on gear, body armor, or vests safely.

• Full tang fixed blade
  The solid metal construction of the knife with a fixed blade provides strength and power. The knife is made of 1.4116 stainless steel with a thickness of 5 mm, which is hardened to 57 HRC. With such characteristics of the steel, the cutting edge of the knife stays sharp for a long time, and it can be sharpened by hand without the use of a special tool.
• Wide concave bevels
  The wide concave bevels provide superior cutting performance, while the straight cutting edge makes it effective and convenient for various everyday tasks and dynamic cutting. It provides precise control and enables delicate cuts when required. Such bevels, almost from the spine, provide powerful strikes during dynamic cut, ease in chopping thin branches for a fire or planing tent pegs, and allow you to very conveniently and delicately peel an apple.
• Position of the cutting edge
  The cutting edge extends beyond the handle and concentrates all the force of the strike in this point, reinforcing it. When the knife penetrates the material, the cutting force significantly exceeds the applied effort. The smoothly rounded cutting edge makes the knife as comfortable as possible for everyday tasks, such as cutting food.
• Additional bevel
  The additional bevel on the spine near the tip is designed for fine and delicate work with the knife, and provides stunning penetrating properties of the knife. When stabbing, the knife leaves a very deep and wide cut, equal to the distance between the extreme points of the opposite cutting edges.
• Modified handle
  The enlarged (compared to the Sears knife) comfortable handle of a special shape guarantees a reliable and comfortable grip, and stops the movement of the palm towards the blade when a powerful stab. Textured ABS plastic scales prevent slipping, the knife is convenient to use even with gloves. The scales are attached with screws, which can be tightened independently if necessary. There is a hole for a lanyard at the end of the handle.
• Reliable sheath
  The sheath is made of strong nylon and provides a secure fit and retention of the knife. It is equipped with a loop for convenient attachment to a belt or gear, as well as a MOLLE system. This sheath provides easy access to the knife and allows you to carry it safely during hiking or combat operations.
