SICACH Gentle Cut — a kitchen knife with a wide blade. Convenient for slicing vegetables and cutting meat. A reliable tool for professional and home kitchens with a Ukrainian soul.
The Gentle Cut SIKACH is more than a kitchen knife — it’s a celebration of Ukrainian ingenuity and tradition, reimagined for the modern cook.
Historically, Sikach (meaning Slicer in Ukrainian) was born out of necessity and creativity. Thus, Cossacks of the Zaporozhian Sich repurposed broken sabers into sturdy blades for life in the camp. These knives were vital tools used in everyday cooking, hunting, and gathering.
Drawing on historical sketches and accounts of Cossack life, we have revived this legendary design with the help of top chefs from Kharkiv. As a result, we made the Gentle Cut SIKACH — a chef's knife that fuses authentic roots with the demands of today's culinary world.
While deeply tied to Ukrainian heritage, this blade speaks a universal language of purpose and performance. Whether in a professional kitchen or around a firepit, the SIKACH delivers precision, balance, and soul with every cut.
Performance that Cuts Above
Designed with chefs. Tested in the wild. Trusted by food lovers. Whether you're prepping a family dinner or sizzling steaks by the fire, the SIKACH does it all:
Meat Mastery. Cleanly slices beef, lamb, poultry, and more with surgical precision. Whether it's raw cuts or roasted pieces — this knife keeps texture intact and prep effortless.
Herb Friendly. Finely chops greens while preserving their oils and aromas — ideal for sauces, dressings, and garnish.
Veggie Ready. From onions to cabbage, its wide blade keeps shapes intact for even cooking and attractive plating.
Fruit Confidence. Tackles pineapples, melons, mangos, and more with grace and juice-retaining precision.
Blade + Spatula. The wide edge doubles as a transfer tool, scooping chopped goods directly into the pan or pot.
Beyond the Kitchen: Made for the Outdoors
Evenings by the fire, mornings at the camp — the SIKACH thrives where food and nature meet. It’s a trusted companion when the stove is replaced by open flames and the day begins with birdsong and brisk air. So, with rugged charm and effortless balance, the SIKACH feels like second nature in your hand.
Whether you're grilling under the stars or flipping breakfast next to a tent, this knife rises to the moment:
BBQs and Tailgates: When the grill is roaring and hungry friends gather, the SIKACH takes center stage — chopping, slicing, and plating with precision.
Backyard Feasts: From casual dinners to celebratory spreads, its broad blade and agile handling make prep work smoother and more satisfying.
Campfire Cooking & Cast Iron Adventures: Tough enough for woodfire meals and smart enough for cast iron finesse — chop herbs, trim meat, and portion your pot with ease.
Picnics & Outdoor Moments: Whether you're capturing it all on camera or soaking up the quiet, this knife adds flavor to stories, food, and memories.
Handcrafted with Excellence
Every curve, contour, and material choice in the SIKACH Gentle Cut is a reflection of deliberate craftsmanship and purpose-driven design. Moreover, this is not a mass-produced blade — it’s a refined tool built to elevate the cooking experience from ordinary to extraordinary.
Premium German Steel (1.4116 Krupp X50CrMoV15): Known for its strength and longevity, this high-performance stainless steel delivers exceptional sharpness, outstanding edge retention, and corrosion resistance.
Slim Spine (2.5 mm): Don’t let the bold silhouette fool you — this knife glides with finesse. Thus, its lean spine ensures smooth, low-effort slicing even through dense meats and tough vegetables.
Full Tang Blade: The blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel, enhancing stability and strength. It feels solid in the hand, with zero flex and full confidence.
Dual Blade Finish: A polished upper section meets a fine bead-blasted lower edge, reducing friction and preventing food from sticking. This thoughtful surface treatment balances sleek aesthetics with true utility.
Ergonomic Micarta Handle: Sculpted for comfort, contoured for control. Resistant to moisture and odors, featuring mosaic pins and visual texture for rugged reliability.
Soul in Steel
Big, but obedient. Strong, but easygoing. The Gentle Cut SIKACH is a knife with character — not just a tool, but a part of the experience.
Proudly crafted in Ukraine. Loved wherever flavor lives. Let this knife be your ally — in the kitchen, at the firepit, or anywhere food brings people together.

The SIKACH Gentle Cut is a premium kitchen knife made from 1.4116 Krupp Stainless Steel (X50CrMoV15), a high-quality stainless steel produced in Germany at Thyssen Krupp plants. This steel is also used for the manufacture of medical equipment, equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, and in the food industry.
The SIKACH Gentle Cut features a full tang construction, which offers a well-balanced ratio of edge retention. The blade is hardened to about 57 HRC, which allows for easy sharpening and ensures long-term perfect function for the knife.
The handle is ergonomically designed for perfect handling. It is made of micarta, which has pleasant tactile properties and is easy to care for. You can choose from three colors: burgundy, light green, or blue.
Each knife is handmade by several craftsmen, which prevents the possibility of defects. We pay particular attention to the processing of the micarta itself, so we are proud not only of the ergonomic handle, but also of the very nice look of the pattern and chosen colors.
