ORKNEY CLAW is a special knife designed specifically for the Filipino knife fighting technique. The compact EDC knife is made of 1.4116 stainless steel, 5 mm thick and tempered to 57 HRC. Textured handle scales made of durable ABS plastic. Plastic sheath guarantees safety of carrying. The attachment system is a steel clip compatible with MOLLE. The sheath holes are compatible with TEK LOK. The knife is designed for concealed carry and is quickly removed from the sheath.

History of the knife

ORKNEY CLAW is a knife inspired by ancient ritual knives found in the Maeshowe tomb on Orkney Islands, Scotland. This knife model is one of the first models of Blade Brothers Knives.

Our EDC knife ORKNEY CLAW was specifically designed as a model focused on the Filipino knife fighting technique. This unique technique emphasizes quick, multiple slashing strikes using a fencing grip.

Purpose of the knife Orkney Claw

The balanced blade and the shape of the knife make it exceptionally comfortable for delivering quick strikes. Notice that the shape of the blade resembles a straight razor. This shape is originally more comfortable and is maximally adapted for knife fighting.

• The full tang fixed blade knife
  This feature ensures strength and durability. The knife is made of stainless steel 1.4116 with a thickness of 5 mm, hardened to 57 HRC. Due to such steel characteristics, the knife’s cutting edge maintains sharpness for an extended period, and it can be easily sharpened without requiring any special tools.
• Special blade shape
  The knife blade has the shape of a straight razor, which is originally more comfortable for knife fighting.
• Curved cutting edge
  The cutting edge, which extends beyond the handle line, concentrates all the force of the strike at this point, enhancing it. When the knife penetrates the material, the cutting force is significantly greater than the applied force. And the curved line of the cutting edge increases the length of the cut.
• Piercing properties
  The knife is adapted for delivering effective stabbing strikes.
• Comfortable handle
  The special shape of the handle is suitable for a fencing grip, a screwdriver grip, and will also be comfortable for the main grip of the Ukrainian knife fighting technique.
  The textured ABS plastic handle scales provide a secure grip, ensuring comfortable use even when wearing gloves. The scales are durably attached with screws that can be adjusted as needed. The knife handle also features a lanyard hole for added convenience.
• Secure sheath
  The well-fitted plastic sheath securely holds and retains the blade. The sheath is equipped with a removable steel clip compatible with the MOLLE system, allowing the knife to be carried in any convenient position. The sheath’s holes are compatible with TEK LOK. In emergency situations, the knife can be quickly drawn from the sheath, it is always ready for action.
