What the REVENGE by Blade Brothers Knives can do:
In a camp setting, the REVENGE handles various tasks effortlessly: setting up camp, preparing food, opening rations, chopping firewood, digging depressions, or building shelters. Use it to fortify a position or, when necessary, chop through materials where an axe would be too bulky.
The Blade Brothers Knives line of military knives began in 2014, during the recovery of brand founder Oleksandr Vorobey from wounds sustained during the assault on the East of Ukraine. Drawing on his frontline experience, he developed the first three models: INFANTRY, SNIPER, and REVENGE.
Specifically, the REVENGE knife was envisioned as a secondary weapon — a ruthless tool for vengeance against the occupiers. A strike leaving no chances. The core idea was to create a blade that doesn't just pierce gear like a classic dagger but slices through every obstacle in its path upon impact. We completely rejected World War II-era concepts, such as the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife. In the modern world, the variety of materials and obstacles is far greater, requiring a fundamentally different approach.
We did not choose the tip's shape by chance. It fully realizes the original intent: to inflict devastating damage. With a width of nearly 5 cm across its widest points, the blade creates a massive 5 cm wound channel. Because a knife rarely enters a target perfectly straight in a dynamic situation, the frontal cutting edge effortlessly slices through everything in its path — dense tactical gear, heavy fabrics, and vessels.
The overall length of the REVENGE is precisely calculated. At the time of its creation, we had already spent years practicing knife fighting and established our own standard for training knives — 30 cm. This specific length is ideal for executing our signature combat technique:
The REVENGE fits perfectly into this "sweet spot," providing the reach needed for effective strikes while remaining compact enough for rapid, tactical deployment.
Practical experience on the line of contact later revealed that the REVENGE was too large to serve as a secondary weapon for some configurations. Its dimensions limited mounting options primarily to the belt or thigh. To ensure a comfortable chest mount on a tactical rig, the overall length must not exceed 25–26 cm. This specific requirement became the standard length for Blade Brothers Knives' tactical models.
By incorporating direct feedback from frontline operators, we developed a tactical version — the REVENGE-2 Small. This model perfectly embodies our original vision while offering superior carrying comfort. To this day, it remains a top choice for Special Operations Forces (SOF).
At the same time, service members consistently highlight that the full-sized REVENGE Field Knife remains the ultimate tool for survival and high-intensity power tasks in the field.
Today, we recommend the REVENGE as a heavy-duty survival knife for demanding tasks. In modern combat conditions, using it as a secondary weapon may be less practical due to its size.
