Golok is a type of blade tool widely used in Indonesia as both an household tool and military weapon.
This name is also used for this type of weapon in Malaysia, where the term “Golok” is used interchangeably for the longer and wide-blade type of military weapon Parang.
Also, Golok is known for taking its form as the basis for the machete of the British Army, which has been used since the early 1950s.
